At Near North Baptist Church our ministries focus on glorifying God. Whether it be in Sunday school, Youth Group, or special music, you will find that God’s Word is front and centre in all we do. We want to be an encouragement to the believer, and a witness to the unbeliever.
SUNDAY SCHOOL: Sunday school is at 10:30am each Sunday. We have classes for every age group from infant through adult. Children’s classes include exciting Bible lessons, singing, Scripture memorization, crafts, and many other activities. Our teens have a study each week on topics that are relevant to them. The Adult Sunday school class offers a praise and testimony time, Bible study, missionary updates, Scripture memorization, and prayer.
LADIES MINISTRIES: Near North’s ladies ministry includes bi-weekly Bible studies centred in God’s Word, but also including much laughter, sharing, tea, coffee, and goodies. Our ladies enjoy attending Ladies Retreats hosted both by Near North and other churches. We also hold two special Ladies Teas each year.
MEN’S MINISTRIES: Periodically Near North holds men’s prayer breakfasts. These breakfasts are a time of fellowship, prayer, and good food. Door-to-door visitation is also a ministry opportunity for the men of the church.
TEEN MINISTRIES: Near North has monthly/bi-monthly youth activities. These activities can be anything from Scavenger hunts, board game nights, hikes, or mini-put. Our desire is to keep our youth group God-centred, and we always have a relevant Bible lesson after the fun. Of course there’s usually food too 
.
OUTREACH: Near North Baptist Church believes strongly that man’s greatest need is salvation. We have an extensive outreach program into the community. Our main outreach activities are door-to-door visitation and tract distribution. Other outreach includes, John/Romans distribution, mailing gospel literature, discipleship classes, special tract distribution (Thanksgiving, Halloween and Christmas), Christmas programs, nursing home outreach, special Sunday night activities, Ladies Teas, and more.
MARINA POINT: Each month on the Third Sunday of the month we hold a service at the Marina Point Retirement Community. This service is a great opportunity to reach some of the elderly in our city, and also to provide a place of worship and encouragement for the Christians who live at the Residence.
PRAYER: Prayer is a very important, but often neglected part of the Christian life. We meet each Wednesday night at 7:00pm for a time of prayer and Bible study. Each week we are encouraged to remember in prayer the needs of our church family and those around us. We are also encouraged by the many blessings and praises that are shared in our mid-week service!
