A Word About The Ministries We Lead:

At Near North Baptist Church, our ministries focus on glorifying God.  Whether it be in Sunday school, Youth Group, or special music, you will find that God’s Word is front and centre in all we do.  We want to be an encouragement to the believer and a witness to the unbeliever.

EVANGELISTIC SUNDAY SCHOOL:

Sunday school is at 10:30am each Sunday. We have classes for each age group from infant through adult.  Children and adults are encouraged through Scripture memory, sword drills, songs, a missionary spot light and a Bible lesson.

YOUTH BIBLE CLUB:

Every Wednesday from 5:45-6:30pm we have an enthusiastic youth Bible club for ages 5-18 year olds.  This time encourages our children and young people through missionary stories, object lessons, and Bible stories.  It’s upbeat, interactive, and enjoyable!

MEN’S MINISTRIES:

Periodically Near North holds men’s prayer breakfasts.  These breakfasts are a time of fellowship and prayer often followed by visitation in our city.  Door-to-door visitation is also a ministry opportunity for the men of the church.

LADIES MINISTRIES:

Bible studies are held weekly ladies Bible study on Monday at 7:00pm. We gather as ladies to learn more about the Bible, how we can apply it to our lives, and to encourage each other.  Our ladies enjoy attending Ladies Retreats hosted both by Near North and other Baptist churches.  We hold special Ladies Tea outreaches each year. These things will be listed on our “Events” page with the exact dates and times.

TEEN MINISTRIES:

Near North has monthly youth activities.  These activities can be anything from Scavenger hunts, board game nights, hikes, or mini-put.  Our desire is to keep our youth group God-centred.  Teens enjoy studying the Bible too, and learning how to become stronger Christians.  Our teen activities always include a Bible lesson to encourage our teens to grow as godly young people.  Our teens have the opportunity to attend a yearly youth conference in Barrie, Ontario as well as summer camp at Camp YES in Rodney, Ontario.

CROWN CHRISTIAN STUDENT SOCIETY:

This is a group for college/university students.  We meet weekly for Bible studies on the Nipissing/Canadore campus.  The society is open to all students seeking to learn more about the Bible regardless of faith or religious background.  Look for our display banner on campus and click here to join our facebook page.

Outreach:

Near North Baptist Church believes strongly that man’s greatest need is salvation.  We have an extensive outreach program into the community.  Our main outreach activities are door-to-door visitation and tract distribution.  Other outreach includes, John/Romans distribution, mailing gospel literature, discipleship classes, special tract distribution (Christmas, and other holidays), Christmas specials, nursing home outreach, hospital visitation, special Gospel services, Ladies Teas, and more.  If you or someone you know would like a visit from Pastor Wadley, please contact us and let us know!

PRAYER:

Prayer is a very important, but often neglected part of the Christian life.  We meet each Wednesday night at 7:00pm for a time of prayer and Bible study.  Each week we are encouraged to remember in prayer the needs of our church family and those around us.  We are also encouraged by the many blessings and praises that are shared in our mid-week service!
